Another win for the fighters had brought them back within a point. The score now stands at 12-11 in favor of the writers. Miller will look to draw them even this week, yet again.

Here’s how it works: both writer and fighter must pick the winner of the main event, co-main event, and featured main card bout. A correct pick will earn one point. Both must then pick a “lock” — the fighter they are most sure will win their fight — from the entire card. That’s two points. The “dog” comes next, and a correct underdog pick earns three points.

It’s that simple. Five picks: Main, co-main, and featured fight winners, lock, and underdog. To the winner go the spoils. Not actual spoils, but bragging rights anyway.

On this week’s edition, Cageside Press’s matchmaker extraordinaire, Mike Lynch takes on a man who has his sights set on a big win – and not just in Writer vs Fighter. Mo Miller logs his picks this week just before he looks to log a UFC contact on the Contender Series. Let’s get a look at those picks.

Not a lot of agreement for our pick combatants this week. The only thing they seem to agree on is Ji Yeon Kim picking up a win over Molly McCann. Miller is big on the underdogs on the main card with Derek Brunson and Sergey Spivak. Lynch on the other hand is riding with favorites Tom Aspinall and Darren Till.

For locks and dogs, we also have a lot of variety. Lynch likes Jack Shore to easily dismantle Liudvik Sholinian, whereas Miller likes Jonathan Martinez to get Marcelo Rojo out of there. Mo Show is also going with Luigi Vendramini to score the upset over highly touted prospect Paddy Pimblett. Lynch will go with Julian Erosa to beat Charles Joudain.

May the best writer/fighter win! Check back here to see the results following the conclusion of UFC Vegas 36.
