Machado I’d say is on the short-list for heavyweights on the UFC’s radar. He’s the current reigning BFL heavyweight champion. He’s defended his title twice. For a heavyweight, Machado fought decent competition. Not UFC-level competition but heavy hitters to really test him.

What Machado possesses is a good chin and heavy hands himself. Machado is capable of catching guys coming in as he has light footwork and good timing. He’s also solid in the clinch having a background in Muay Thai. Expect to hear Machado’s name in the UFC this year.
