Ronda Rousey’s 12-0 run was one of the scariest runs in MMA history. Rousey, who was an armbar specialist and Olympic gold medalist in judo, won eight of her 12 fights in less than a minute.

Holly Holm, who was 9-0 coming into the fight, was written off by nearly everyone given Rousey’s dominance. Holm was a boxer, and the thinking was, she’d be another submission victim for “Rowdy.” But Holm showcased her defensive tactics, frustrating Rousey during the fight and catching her unguarded, delivering a head-kick knockout for the ages and ending one of the hottest runs in UFC history.

Rousey was never the same. Holm would lose the title to Miesha Tate, who in turn lost it to Amanda Nunes — who held the belt right up until Julianna Pena took it from her.
