Chris Weidman was 9-0 going into his first fight against Anderson Silva.
While “The All American” had an impressive resume, it was nothing compared to Silva’s accomplishments. Silva was a legend, plain and simple. But Weidman was steady the entire fight and came away with a knockout to become the UFC middleweight champion, putting an end to Silva’s then Ultimate Fighting Championship record for most title defenses at 10.
