Scouting Prospects for the Contender Series Season 5: Part 2

Daniel Zellhuber

Lightweight | 21 | Mexico City, Mexico l | 10-0 | Win streak: 10 | 6 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions

At only 21-years-old, there will for sure be way more to learn for Daniel Zellhuber, but at this point in his career, Zellhuber has looked darn good. The Combate Americas veteran earned two impressive wins in 2020 putting his name out there as a bright young prospect. Zellhuber is someone I’d imagine the UFC contacting for the Contender Series.

Laurynas Urbonavicius

Light heavyweight | 32 | Lithuania l | 13-1 | Win streak: 7 | 8 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions

Urbonavicius was set to have a big 2020 coming off a win in December 2019 against former UFC fighter Ildemar Alcantara. He was a signee with new promotion, Ares FC. The promotion had a lot of hype, but fizzled out not having one event in 2020 because of COVID-19. Still, Urbonavicius is on a seven-fight win streak having not lost a fight since early 2017. The UFC is always in need of 205ers so Urbonavicius on the contender series would be nice.
