10 Welterweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Abdoul “Lazy King” Abdouraguimov

27 | 5’10″ | Nantes, France | 15-1 (1 NC) | 12 Finishes | 2 KO/TKOs, 10 Submission | Combined Opponents’ Record: 176-69 | Best Win – Karl Amoussou (27-9-2)

Russian-born Abdouraguimov had a background in freestyle wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu before switching over to MMA. He’s the former Brave CF champion and the current Ares FC champion. He’s set to have a chance to become a double champ for Ares FC going for the middleweight title on the 20th of this month.

Abdouraguimov is greatly improved over the years. He’s always been a fantastic grappler but it’s his wrestling that has come a long way. From well-timed takedown entries to chain wrestling he’s a takedown machine now. Abdouraguimov is getting better and better. He was one of the biggest snubs of a UFC contract last year. This year, he can’t be denied.
