10 Middleweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Akhmed Salamov

29 | 6’3″ | Russia/Paris, France | 5-1 | 5 Finishes | 5 Submissions | Combined Opponents’ Record: 14-6 | Best Win – Robert Valentin (7-3)

Salamov is a good prospect that trains out of the MMA Factory. Last time out he beat an undefeated 5-0 fighter. In that fight, he won the vacant Ares FC title. Salamov is a highly praised prospect out of that gym behind his head coach Fernand Lopez. He’s won his last four looking better and better in each fight.

Salamov is primarily a grappler who holds five submission victories. His wrestling is a work in progress but has a good size so when he gets a hold of guys he gets in down pretty much always. Salamov is a strong positional grappler with smothering pressure. He can attack submissions everywhere and is always threatening to finish. He has the blueprint to really be something in the future.
