10 Middleweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Florian Aberger

27 | 6’1″ | Graz Stadt, Austria | 9-0 | 6 Finishes | 6 KO/TKOs | Combined Opponents’ Record: 28-31-1 | Best Win – Jorge Bueno (6-0)

Aberger started off his pro career fighting terrible competition. He fought guys with records like 5-10, 7-7, 1-4, and 9-9. His last two fights are a different story however, as he beat a pair of undefeated opponents with records of 6-0 and 7-0-1. He went 7-5 as an amateur so being 9-0 as a pro he’s had a nice career turnaround.

Aberger is a dangerous powerful guy that’s finished all but two of his fights. He’s an in-your-face explosive fighter that puts everything into what he throws. I’m not so sure of his cardio and takedown defense but he is exciting if nothing else. Middleweight isn’t too strong so a 9-0 record looks pretty good.

“Hey Dana, I’m not just the most powerful middleweight in the world but also the smartest. I will find openings for brutal highlight reel finishes in every match-up you put me in and when I step foot on this special UFC canvas I am only looking to kill or be killed,” Aberger said in a statement to Cageside Press. “Give me a shot and I’ll flatline anyone you put in front of me.”
