3. Chris Weidman vs. Uriah Hall
So we come to the other side of the Six Degrees of Uriah Hall. Look at it this way:
Anderson Silva snapped his leg kicking Chris Weidman in 2013. Seven years later, give or take, Silva’s final UFC fight would come against Uriah Hall at UFC Vegas 12. Just months later, Hall would step into the octagon against Weidman — who would snap his own leg kicking Hall.
Some might consider it karma acting through Hall, but Silva, never one to hold a grudge, has been hugely supportive of Weidman during his recovery. That, despite Weidman for years taking credit for breaking Silva’s leg whenever the topic of his second win over the Spider being “lucky” came up.
Regardless, Weidman’s leg break was even more gruesome than Silva’s, especially given the former middleweight champion has been forced to endure a second surgery on the limb, which was not healing correctly.
Somehow, watching the injury without sound is even more horrific. Heal up soon, Chris.
