Nicolas Dalby Not Dwelling On Recent Loss, “Past is past.”

UFC welterweight Nicolas Dalby has a hell of a puzzle to figure out when he faces Randy Brown at UFC Kansas City on Saturday night.

“He’s definitely a talented guy. He went as high as ranked #7 at some point,” Dalby told reporters on Wednesday.

“He’s very unorthodox in the way that he’s got a frame. His size, his length, he’s kind of like the Jon Jones of welterweight.”

Dalby (23-5-1) is coming off a tough split-decision loss to Rinat Fakhretdinov which he and many fans felt he won”. Brown himself is coming off a split-decision loss to Bryan Battle which he and many fans felt he won as well.

“I might be biased when I’m looking at the fight. Of course it’s through my lens, but yeah it was a close fight,” he said.

“It was one of those I could see going either way. It wasn’t like a robbery at high day type of decision. Sometimes the crowd they feel different.”

As far as his own loss, well, he’s not one to focus on the past.

“Past is past. It’s going to be good to get a win no matter what,” he said.

“What happened in my previous fight is behind me. I looked at the fight and learned from it, but it’s not like I have that in the back of my head. I’m just more motivated to get the win this Saturday.”
