10 Light Heavyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2021

Laurynas “Captain Lithuania” Urbonavicius

32 | 6’1″ | Lithuania | 13-1 | 10 Finishes | 8 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions (RNC, Kimura) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 92-90 | Best Win – Ildemar Alcântara (26-13)

Urbonavicius was set to have a big 2020 coming off a win in December 2019 against former UFC fighter Ildemar Alcantara. He was a signee from a new promotion, Arec FC. The promotion had a lot of hype but fizzled out not having one event in 2020 because of COVID-19. Still, Urbonavicius is on a seven-fight win streak having not lost a fight since early 2017.

Urbonavicius is a pressure fighter who will be his opponent’s shadow. Not the cleanest striker but he has some power in looping hooks that he throws. “Captain Lithuania” is at home on the mat as his positional ground and pound are valuable in his skillset. With perhaps just one more win in 2021, he could land in the UFC.
