10 Light Heavyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2021

Acácio “Pequeno” dos Santos

29 | 6’4″ | Guarulhos, Sao Paulo, Brazil | 13-3 | 6 Finishes | 6 KO/TKOs | Combined Opponents’ Record: 59-27 | Best Win – Matheus Scheffel (12-5)

Acacio dos Santos is an interesting prospect. A towering 6’4″ he previously fought at middleweight. Throughout his career, he’s competed for various promotions in Brazil but still hasn’t had that one big opportunity to make a name for himself. He is however on a current eight-fight win streak. I’d imagine he’s on the doorstep of the UFC as he should be.

The Brazilian is limited on the feet, and while he has heavy kicks his brawling style throws technique out the window. dos Santos does have raw strength and that has earned him these wins. If he gets taken down, he will just stand up and take top position, Derrick Lewis style. If he does get on top of you, then you’re most likely staying there due to his size and his best weapon, which is his ground-and-pound.
