Strawweight, Alexia Thainara (10-1):
Thainara is an impressive flyweight that’s one of the better female prospects out of Brazil. The UFC has to be calling up Thainara soon because not many out there with the streak she has. Strawweight is a pretty stacked division outside the UFC and Thainara is probably the most underrated female in the group. She I believe would be top 15 so the UFC needs to get the ball rolling.
Flyweight, Lone’er Kavanagh (5-0):
Kavanagh had a shaky amateur career with a 2-2-2, 1 NC record. As a pro he’s been on a absolute tear. Kavanagh is a true flyweight prospect that brings speed, athleticism, explosiveness, and a recurrent rapid pace. At just 24 years old, he’s still flourishing as a fighter and has stood out among other blooming prospects his age. He’s easily one of my favorite flyweight prospects.
Lightweight, Michael Pagani (7-0):
Pagani is someone who’s grown on me so much. As I do think there is some things he needs work on he’s covered that up with highlight-reel knockouts. He’s coming off a win over James Power who I like a lot. Pagani fights long while switching stances throwing kicks and punches. He can turn a fight around on it’s head in a matter of seconds due to his power and explosiveness.
Flyweight, Cong Wang (3-0):
Cong has the hype behind her because of her background in kickboxing. She has a draw with Tiffany van Soest and a title win over Valentina Shevchenko. She was 8-0-1 in kickboxing and was a two-time gold medalist in Sanda. She’s looked good in MMA coming off a good win over a good opponent. Her striking has looked solid but also has a win by a submission.
Bantamweight, Tiago Pereira (7-0):
Pereira had a big year last year winning the Jungle Fight bantamweight title and defending it. Pereira is a sought-after striker with good straight punches, counters, nasty kicks, and just all-around savagery on the feet. He’s a product out of Team Nogueira and is only 26-years-old.
