Mick Terrill initially had plans to attend BKB 58 as a spectator, and even commentate a bit of the action. But now, on supremely short notice, the multi-promotion bare-knuckle champ will battle someone many see as the best in gloveless combat today, Gustavo Trujillo. This Florida-based fight will be for Trujillo’s BKB heavyweight championship, which Terrill previously held.
BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing dropped the announcement for one of the biggest bouts you can make in the sport today when BKB figurehead David Tetreault announced the clash during a media day at KO Zone in Miami.
It all emanates from the James L. Knight Center on Saturday, August 29th. ‘The Cuban Assassin’ will no longer be taking on Mark O’Neill, who had to withdraw due to visa issues. Terrill returned to the BKB fold, albeit in the Mighty Trigon now, and secured an emphatic win at BKB 57 in London.
The ex-BKFC champion notched a first-round KO victory against Florian De La Motte. This maintained Terrill’s one hundred percent finishing rate and improved his bare-knuckle record to 11-2. With an opportunity presenting itself, Terrill called for a shot against Trujillo and the heavyweight title, and got what he asked for on just a few days’ notice.
Terrill comes in with an 11-2 record, with all of his wins coming by way of knockout. Speaking of spotless finishing rates, Trujillo also has halted all of his rivals in gloveless combat inside the distance, but with all of those stoppages happening in the opening stanza.

Also, BKB champion Gustavo Trujillo quipped,
“Be careful what you wish for. Mick wanted this fight so badly, and now he’s got it. Eight opponents made the same mistake of getting in that ring with me and none of them saw round two.”
