They’ve Been Around

Some of these flyweights have a good amount of fights and have been fighting for a few years. With that said, they have yet to get the attention, are yet be recognized in the division. Andres Luna Martinetti (11-0),  David Bangguigui (8-1), Jesus Santos Aguilar (7-1) are on the verge of being more talked-about and noticed.

Andres Luna Martinetti from Ecuador has an impressive unbeaten record. He’s a former champion out of Peru capturing the FFC title. There is a reason he was a -800 favorite in his last fight.

David Bangguigui hasn’t fought in over two years but was on a roll. He was signed onto ONE Warrior Series working his way up to ONE Championship. He’s 2-0 in the promotion and hasn’t lost again since his pro debut. Bangguigui is a heavy-handed Philippino with an excellent grappling base.

Jesus Santos Aguilar last year won the UWC flyweight title and this year he’s gone 2-0 for Combate Global. Since losing his first fight when he turned pro, Aguilar has won his next six fights. Aguilar recently beat TUF and Contender Series veteran Jamie Alvarez. He has the speed, fight IQ, grappling, and wrestling to be a problem.
