Dropping Down

Not all of these prospects have mainly fought at 125. Some recently transitioned to flyweight and some have been fighting between 125 and 135. Ata Atdayev (5-0), Jung Hyun Lee (6-0), Dylan Hazan (7-0), Christian Natividad (4-0), Carlos Lozoya (6-2) are all prospects that have only one foot in the door at 125.

Ata Atdayev is an undefeated pro that had an outstanding amateur career. He was an IMMAF world and European champion with a 10-1 record. Atdayev is a strong grappler and in the footage seen he’s got a lot of promise at only 24.

Jung Hyun Lee basically has been only fighting at catchweight bouts. He is a natural 125’er and it will be his weight class. South Korea’s Lee is a powerhouse and a dangerous striker.

Dylan Hazan has a background as a two-time Italian freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling champion. He’s a smothering wrestler/grappler always pressing and making the fight ugly.

Christian Natividad basically has fought his entire career at bantamweight, but last fight he made the cut to 125. That’s where he plans on staying at as well. The last name sounds familiar because he’s the younger brother of UFC fighter Kevin Natividad. Natividad is young as a pro but has looked darn good. In his first two pro fights, Natividad put his power on full display with a pair of huge knockout wins.

Carlos Lozoya has not yet fought at 125 but is making the move down permanently. At one point Lazoya lost two consecutively but has won his last five. A win over TUF and Contender Series veteran Ricky Steele came last July winning the Fusion Fight League bantamweight title. Lozoya is a BJJ black belt, an Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu World champion, and was a collegiate wrestler.
