Ahh, the middleweight division. Whose champion, Israel Adesanya, may or may not be a light heavyweight come 2021.

Adesanya is set to face Jan Blachowicz for 205lb gold, from all appearances. Which could set up a potential super fight with Jon Jones. At least, should Jones opt to hold off on his move to heavyweight.

Hello, 185lb logjam. But maybe that’s not a bad thing. Divisions take time to mature, and middleweight feels as if it’s in something of a rebuilding phase, with Yoel Romero gone, and Robert Whittaker, Kelvin Gastelum, and Paulo Costa already defeated by the champion.
