10 Middleweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2021

Alex “Poatan” Pereira

33 | 6’4″ | Sao Paulo, Brazil | 3-1 | 100% Finish Rate | 3 KO/TKOs | Combined Opponents’ Record: 18-11 | Best Win – Marcus Vinicius (6-0)

Pereira is a bit of a wild card pick as he’s still under contract with Glory. It would still be a huge signing from the UFC due to who he is and his history with middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. His kickboxing record is 41-6 with 30 KO/TKOs. Some of his accomplishments include becoming the Glory Middleweight Champion, WGP Kickboxing Champion, and the WAKO World Champion. Pereira is best known to the MMA community for beating UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya twice (once by knockout).

Pereira just had an MMA fight last November with a brutal highlight-reel finish knockout in the first round. That was in the main event for LFA which is the number one feeder to the UFC so there is hope that he can make the transition to the octagon in 2021.
