Juan has a very solid jiu-jitsu grappling skill set and looks to dominate and submit his opponents on the ground. Espino holds at least 4 first round submission finishes and submitted Maurice Greene in an exhibition bout on TUF Season 28.
Espino is a product of The Ultimate Fighter Season 28 and actually his first and last fight with the UFC was the Tournament finale against Justin Frazier in Novemeber of 2018. Espino won that fight in the first round with a performance of the night winning straight armlock submission.
Espino will look to shake the rust off at UFC 253 and show at 39 years old that not only does he belong in the UFC but he has the capabilities to produce finishes too.
