Heisei’s Last Yarennnoka! was the first of back-to-back RIZIN FF cards on the same day to ring in the New Year in Japan!

RIZIN FF opted to host two cards on the same day to ring in the new year, with RIZIN: Heisei’s Last Yarennnoka! going down in advance of RIZIN 14. That meant plenty of action, but a long night for MMA fans in the west. To compound the problem, while RIZIN 14 would air via FITE.tv (minus the exhibition boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Tenshin Nasukawa), Heisei’s Last Yarennnoka was unavailable in the west, airing on Japanese service GYAO! but little else.

That meant western MMA fans were likely going to miss the return to action of Tatsuya Kawajiri, well known for his stint in the UFC, and Kai Asakura, among others.

FITE, however, would air a replay the following day, for those who wanted to catch up on the action in the east.
