Loder was an NCAA Division-1 All-American wrestler. It’s been his main focus in his MMA career. Loder’s takedowns come from upper-body takedowns mostly. He’s good at closing the distance to get his hands locked and use trips to get the fight down. That will only work to a certain level though.
If Loder developed more jiu-jitsu he’d be a problem. Loder has no form of ground game outside of ground and pound. He wont take the back and hardly ever takes a dominant position. On the feet outside of a left kick to the body, he has nothing. Loder is too awkward on the feet to outstrike anyone. Loder should be better than what he is.
