Top 25 Pro MMA Prospects with Five Fights or Less

Shauna Bannon
Pro record: 5-0
Amateur record: 9-3
Weight class: Strawweight
Age: 29
Fighting out of Dublin, Ireland

Before turning pro, Bannon had an extensive amateur career. She went 9-3, fought a ton in IMMAF, and won the IMMA world championship. As an amateur and pro, she won the Cage Legacy Flyweight title. As a pro, she’s the Cage Legacy strawweight champ. I believe she will also be the next Invicta champ. Bannon has a karate stance on the feet and her output is good. Altogether her stand-up isn’t great because she gets hit too much. Off her back, she’s just as good with attacking and working in general. Definitely growing but the talent is there.

James Power
Pro record: 5-0
Amateur record: 3-0
Weight class: Lightweight
Age: 31
Fighting out of Wakefield, England

Power has a 100% finish rate as both a pro and an amateur. Power has a muay thai background and that’s very evident when watching him fight. In MMA and muay thai Power has a few finishes from a head kick. Even though it’s easy to look great against the guys he’s fighting his striking looks high-level. He shins with his jab, to his kicks going to the legs, body, and head while throwing straight punches and some nasty clinch work. His takedown defense has been tested and he’s defended all of it basically. I’m pretty high on James Power.
