Bruno “Brunão” Lopes
Light-heavyweight | 29 | Cotia, Sao Paulo, Brazil | 11-0 | 5 KO/TKOs, 4 Submission’s | Combined Opponents’ Record: 56-35-1
I’m surprised Lopes isn’t yet in the UFC. I’m especially surprised considering he’s an LFA champ and in a shallow weight class. Lopes exploded onto the MMA scene last year. He signed with LFA, went 2-0, and won their light heavyweight title last September. He also looked awesome in those two fights, with both being memorable performances. Lopes was away from the sport for six years until he made his comeback in 2021 and has gone on a tear. He has to be on the Contender Series at the very least.
Serhiy Sidey
Bantamweight | 26 | Burlington, Ontario | 8-1 | 5 KO/TKOs, 1 Submission | Combined Opponents’ Record: 25-19
If Sidney isn’t signed to the Canadian card UFC is having (hopefully) then it has to be the Contender Series for him. Sidney is arguably the best prospect out of Canada among all weight classes. Sidey is the current BFL and BTC bantamweight champion winning those titles back-to-back. UFC needs more fighters representing Canada so Sidney should be a no-brainer for the Contender Series.
