Isis “Fight Queen” Verbeek
Strawweight | 28 | Noord-Brabant, Netherlands | 4-1 | 1 Submission | Combined Opponents’ Record: 9-5
Verbeek was a successful Dutch kickboxer. In kickboxing/muay thai she’s arguably most known for her time in Glory Kickboxing. She was also a four-time world champion and a European champion. At least on paper, her record is 51-6. Verbeek made her MMA debut straight as a pro in 2018. She lost that fight to a well-known Kathryn Paprocki. She hasn’t lost since winning four in a row. The “Fight Queen” would be a nice pick-up for the Contender Series.
Davi “O’Black” Costa
Flyweight | 28 | Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil | 14-3 | 6 KO/TKOs, 6 Submission’s | Combined Opponents’ Record: 34-31-2
Costa was just another Brazilian fighter beating cans until last year. It was last July in LFA when he made a big statement beating a good prospect in Eduardo Henrique. Last November he beat a good Felipe Gheno for the Shooto Brasil title. He trains out of Paraná Vale Tudo and is on a nice ten-fight win streak. He’s a Brazilian kickboxing champion so you can see why. Costa is a BJJ purple belt and a CBJJO world champion. I’d imagine he’s likely to pick up a spot on the Contender Series roster.
