10 Flyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Azamat Kerefov

31 | 5’9″ | Nalchik, Russia | 16-0 | 4 Finishes | 3 KO/TKOs, 1 Submission | Combined Opponents’ Record: 125-33-2 | Best Win – Rasul Albaskhanov (11-4)

Undefeated Russian Kerefov is a former ACA champion. Former, because his ACA contract is up and he’s now fighting for UAE Warriors. Over the last five years, he’s fought and proved himself fighting nothing but top-level competition. He’s arguably the best flyweight outside of the UFC. I would be shocked if the UFC don’t sign him this year.

On the feet, Kerefov has good dirty boxing, dangerous kicks, and a laser-accurate straight left. He is as good of a wrestler as he is a striker, and has a gas tank to go five rounds. His takedown defense needs some work but he has good grappling and get-up ability. Kerefov is a legit talent.
