10 Bantamweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Kauã Fernandes

26 | 5’11″ | Rio de Janeiro, Brazil | 6-0 | 5 Finishes | 2 KO/TKOs, 3 Submissions | Combined Opponents’ Record: 22-11 | Best Win – Felipe Pereira (5-0)

Fernandes is unbeaten in MMA, has a background in Muay Thai, and is a jiu-jitsu black belt as well. He’s based out of Rio de Janeiro and trains out of the well-known Nova Uniao. Brazil is loaded with talent and Fernandes is an underrated talent in a deep division. It may take until the end of the year but I do think he can compete in the UFC today.

Fernandes is a BJJ guy as three of his wins come by submission. Don’t sleep on his stand-up because he will put you to sleep. Fernandes uses good length and snipes on the outside with his kicks and punches. He uses a lot of feints and everything he does is thought out. His striking is that good and his ground game is his bread and butter.
