10 Bantamweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Austin Bashi

21 | 5’3″ | West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, US | 8-0 | 3 Finishes | 2 KO/TKOs, 1 Submission | Combined Opponents’ Record: 29-9 | Best Win – Chris San Jose (8-1)

Bashi started off the year winning the Shamrock FC title and ended the year winning the Lights Out Championship title and won a fight in between. Beating Chris San Jose, Erion Zekthi, and Joe Penafiel all in one year is pretty good for small regional competitions. Outside of that he’s never lost as a pro and amateur and is arguably the best prospect out of the US.

Bashi’s wrestling is his bread and butter. He can put his wrestling on his opponents all fight long, going three rounds three times. He stays all over his opponents with fluid grappling and a strong base. The wrestling is top-notch and he has solid cardio. Bashi is already so good now he’s going to be great in the future.

“I know I’m one of the hardest workers in the world,” he told us. “My work ethic and discipline outweighs the rest. I’ll one day have the UFC title wrapped around my waist!”
