10 Featherweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Jesse Butler

30 | 5’10″ | West Monroe, Louisiana, US | 11-4 | 9 Finishes | 1 KO/TKO, 8 Submissions |Combined Opponents’ Record: 78-93 | Best Win – Masio Fullen (14-8)

Butler has quietly been on a solid run over at Fury FC. He’s beaten two former UFC fighters in Masio Fullen and Dimitre Ivy. That being impressive alone, he also finished both guys. In 2019 Butler went 1-2 and has now won his last four fights. Butler is a real possibility for a short-notice call-up for the UFC. If not, the Contender Series next season would make sense.

In his last fight, he got a clean knockout win but the majority of his wins have come by submission. He is a good wrestler that’s a submission threat along with solid jiu-jitsu. Butler is dangerous in all areas on the mat and it’s a good thing since his TDD lacks. On the feet, Butler has a good jab, deceptive power, and a nice one-two he throws.

“The UFC was my goal from the beginning when I had my first amateur fight,” he told us. “I also visioned myself fighting for the best promotion from the first day I started. A fine line between “full of it” and a kid with a dream. I plan on making a statement in the UFC and having multiple fight contracts.”
