10 Featherweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Evgeniy “Grandmaster” Ignatiev

37 | 5’9″ | Talitsa, Russia | 19-2-2 | 18 Finishes | 8 KO/TKOs, 8 Submissions | Combined Opponents’ Record: 101-53 | Best Win – Anderson dos Santos (23-9)

Ignatiev is one of the most talented guys out of Russia and is hardly ever talked about. He’s well-rounded, has a lot of experience, and is still only 27. He’s coming off a standout performance against former UFC fighter Anderson Dos Santos. He’s set to fight Rudy Gavidia who I’ve written about a ton. With a win there hopefully the UFC brings him in.

On the feet, Ignatiev has good fundamentals. He’s got some nice hands with the combinations he throws. He leads with power shots and ends with power shots. Such a dangerous and lethal striker. Ignatiev is arguably an even better wrestler and on the mat is where he’s best. He’s so good on the back landing heavy ground and pound and switching to the RNC. He’s very good. Definitely UFC level.
