10 Heavyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Kevin Szaflarski

27 | 6’6″ | Nowy Targ, Poland | 11-1 | 9 Finishes | 5 KO/TKO’s, 4 Submissions | Combined opponents record- 54-46 | Best win- Filip Stawowy (9-3)

Szaflarski was going to fight last season on the Contender Series but had to pull out. He was set to fight Jimmy Lawson and it was a fight many were picking him to win. That tells you Szaflarski is on the UFC’s radar so he shouldn’t be too far away from a contract. Szaflarski is an underrated guy out of Poland. He’s a 2015 IMMAF World Champion. Combined as a pro and amateur Szaflarski is 20-1.

Szaflarski is a technical fighter that can pick away and conserve three-round cardio. His jab is really good but his output could be better. He likes to wear on guys against the cage, work guys down, and actively land ground and pound. Along with ground and pound, Szaflarski is a submission threat. He’s finished with a triangle, heel hook, and a north-south choke so he is diverse. Another one that won’t blow you away but he’s an interesting prospect at heavyweight.
