10 Heavyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023

Slim Trabelsi

29 | 6’3″ | Tunis, Tunisia/Poznań, Poland | 5-0 | 3 Finishes | 3 KO/TKO’s | Combined opponents record- 29-8-1 | Best win- Azamat Nuftillaev (12-1-1)

Trabelsi was set to debut last year in the UFC but contract issues held that back. That said, Trabelsi is almost a shoo-in to get signed to the UFC as long as he keeps winning. He’s still fresh in MMA but was a freestyle wrestler. Trabelsi was set to be an Olympic wrestler and was a silver medalist in the African Wrestling Championship. He’s quietly beaten good dudes in IMMAF medalist Ryan Spillane, John Winter who was 4-0, Azamat Nuftillaev who was 12-0, and UFC veteran Luis Henrique.

With his Olympic wrestling and mauling ground game, Trabelsi looks to be a part of the new wave of upcoming heavyweight prospects. Trabelsi has strong wrestling but he hasn’t shown what level it’s on yet. He does have the ability to wrestle late in the fight which is a good quality at heavyweight. On the feet he has power but striking defense is a concern. Still raw but Trabelsi is one of the best prospects at heavyweight.
