One more for the road.

Yair Rodriguez immediately raised his hand when news of Max Holloway falling out of the UFC 272 main event broke.

Despite his strong words for champ Volkanovski, this is another long shot. Yair’s an entertaining fighter, without question. But booking him in a title fight off a loss to Max Holloway, the man he would be replacing, seems like a stretch.

The only argument in favor of this match-up is that it would likely result in an exciting scrap, plus Rodriguez holds a win over The Korean Zombie, the likely front-runner in the race to challenge Volkanovski next.

It’s still a weaker argument than the rest, however.
