Danny Sabatello (11-1)

Danny Sabatello is a provocative individual. He is loud, cocky, a very, very good wrestler, and he will rub it in his opponent’s faces. But one thing is obvious: he is an excellent fighter. Whether you like his style of fighting or not.

When he made his appearance on the Dana White’s Contender Series, he was 8-1 with six first-round stoppages. He was a -625 favorite going into his fight.

Sabatello showed he was a massive favorite for a reason, because he completely dominated Taylor Moore for 15 minutes. It was never close with the scorecards reading 30-24, 30-25, and 30-26. Unfortunately, he relied on his wrestling, which made the fight kind of a snoozefest, which doesn’t work on the series.

“Obviously very dominant performance, he’s 9-1 now, he’s 27 years going into his prime. He didn’t take any chances tonight, and it made him look one-dimensional, in my opinion. I believe this guy is very talented, obviously, if you saw what he did tonight. I just think he is going to have to do some more before I bring him into the UFC,” White told Laura Sanko.

Sabatello is now with Bellator, and in his first fight with the organization, he dominated former UFC fighter Brett Johns.

He may be on a three-fight unanimous decision streak, but don’t let that cloud your vision because “The Italian Gangster” is a problem.
