As 2021 enters the second half, we forecast the biggest matchups in the latter part of the year in the world of mixed martial arts.

We are officially at the halfway point of 2021 and the year has already brought us plenty of surprises.  First, fights that were expected to materialize have seemingly dissolved.  Others are matchups that few could have predicted when surveying the landscape back in early January.

Admittedly, some of the most anticipated fights of 2021 were packed into the first half of the year.  Israel Adesanya’s light heavyweight debut and the welcome but unexpected rematch between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal highlight some of the biggest stars in action so far.  The latter half of the year is expected to see several high profile rematches as multiple champions look to extend already lengthy reigns.
