Manel “Starboy” Kape (15-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC)

Flyweight (125lbs): 1-0 (RIZIN), Making UFC Debut

Catchweight (127-130lbs): 1-2 (RIZIN)

Bantamweight (135lbs): 4-1 (RIZIN)

Manel Kape is a fighter that will be making his long-awaited UFC debut on Saturday at UFC Vegas 18, and in a pretty new weight class for him. It’s worth noting that Kape weighed in as a main event alternate back in December, just in case Deiveson Figueiredo or Brandon Moreno missed weight for their Flyweight title bout. Kape is a former Rizin fighter and in his last fight, at the end of 2019, he won the Rizin Bantamweight Championship.

Manel will be competing at 125lbs. for his first fight in the UFC, a weight that he has not fought at since 2018. In fact, the vast majority of Manel’s MMA fights have been at 130lbs or above. Kape is just 27 years old and stands at 5’5″ with a 68″ reach, so he will not be ‘oversized’ for the division. But Kape is definitely a fighter to watch on the scale and in the cage as it should be very interesting to see his striking power at flyweight.
