15 Female Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2021

Joselyne “La Pantera” Edwards (Bantamweight)

25 | 5’6” | Panama City, Panama | 9-2 | 8 Finishes | 6 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions’ (Armbar) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 16-13 | Best win – Brenda Gonzales (8-3)

Edwards probably would already be in the UFC if she had won the LFA title back in 2018. She fought Sarah Alpar and lost by split-decision in a fight many felt Edwards won. Now Alpar is in the UFC, while Edwards had to take a step back. After that fight she took nearly two years off, but returned last August to score a 28-second stoppage.

“La Pantera” is a dangerous striker who holds power in both hands. When she decides to let her hands go, she does an excellent job throwing at angles. She also has solid cardio which is a big factor. Her takedown defense does need work but she at least does fine off her back. LFA would be smart to give her another shot so she can perform at a higher level.
