UFC 330 has lost a battle of ranked flyweights, as Erin Blanchfield has been forced out of the event due to injury.
Rather than scrap her match-up with Jasmine Jasudavicius, UFC officials have now slotted the fight in for UFC Edmonton. That means a two month delay: UFC 330 takes place on August 15 in Philadelphia, while the Edmonton card lands on October 17 at Rogers Place.
BJPenn.com’s Cole Shelton was first to report news of the new date. Cageside Press has also confirmed the plan with sources close to the situation.
Jasudavicius (15-4) will now be fighting at home again as a result, and quite possibly higher up the card. At the same time, the two-month delay will no doubt be frustrating for a fighter that likes to keep active. The Canadian from St. Catharines, Ontario is coming off a win over Karine Silva in Winnipeg back in April. Overall, the Niagara Top Team fighter is 6-1 in her last seven fights, with the lone loss coming to ex-title challenger Manon Fiorot.
Blanchfield (14-2) also has a loss to Fiorot on her record, but has put together back-to-back wins since, against Rose Namajunas and Tracy Cortez. Coincidentally, the victory over former UFC women’s strawweight champ Namajunas also came in Edmonton, Alberta, back in November of 2024.
No main event or other fights past Erin Blanchfield vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius have been announced or reported for the UFC Edmonton card.
