10 Flyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2021

Daniel Barez

32 | 5’7″ | Burjassot, Spain | 12-4 | 9 Finishes | 4 KO/TKOs, 5 Submissions’ (2 RNC’s, 2 Triangles’, Armbar) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 44-19-1 | Best Win – Jamie Powell (6-0)

The native of Spain is an underrated fighter with a solid resume. Barez has both lost to and beat some good competition and is a former BAMMA flyweight champion. He’s currently on a six-fight win streak, the biggest of his career. Along with his BAMMA title, he’s won two other titles in Spain and is a two-time naga champion.

Barez is well-rounded but his power in his hands stands out the most. He’s a really good striker who will attack the body-head well and is a good counter striker. Barez has some underrated wrestling and some solid grappling as well. He’s a scrappy fighter who is super fun to watch and would fit right in on the UFC roster.
