Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey (9-7 MMA, 5-6 UFC)

Strawweight (115lbs.): 4-6 (UFC)

Flyweight (125lbs.): 1-0 (UFC)

Cortney Casey made her UFC debut in the strawweight division back in 2014. Standing at 5’7″ Casey was one of the bigger women in the UFC’s 115lbs division. When the UFC added its women’s flyweight division back in 2017, it turned a lot of heads, including Cortney’s. But the move in weight class wouldn’t come until a couple of years later for Cortney. At 33 years old Casey is at a point in her life where her body will hold a little more weight than it used to make weight cutting more difficult.

Thus far, Casey has only had one flyweight fight in the UFC, and it was her most recent fight. Casey took on Mara Romero Borella in her 125lbs debut and was able to finish her by submission in the very first round. Cortney will be making her sophomore outing at 125lbs at UFC on ESPN 11, just a little over a month after her first flyweight outing.
