Bellator 242 has added another exciting fight to an already stacked card with Keri Melendez (4-0 MMA, 4-0 Bellator) vs. Emilee King (4-3 MMA, 1-0 Bellator).

Melendez puts her undefeated streak on the line against Bellator newcomer King, who is looking to continue to capitalize on her last outing at Bellator 238 where she locked in a rear-naked choke in the first round against Ava Knight (1–1 MMA, 1-1 Bellator).

The Bellator women’s strawweight division is shaping up nicely and a fight like Melendez vs. King could potentially open some eyes as the company looks to grow a champion-less division. For either woman, a win could be their stepping stone to receiving a call from Scott Coker to potentially become a contender for an inaugural women’s strawweight title, should this happen in the near future.

Bellator 242 will take place on May 9 inside the SAP Center in San Jose, California, with not one, but two title fights. You can catch all the excitement from the main card on the Paramount Network or by streaming on DAZN. No matter where you watch, this is definitely a card not to be missed.

As of right now here is the Bellator 242 fight card:
