15 Female Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2020

Mariya Agapova (Flyweight)

22 | 5’6″ | Kazakhstan | 8-1 | 6 Finishes | 3 KO/TKOs, 3 Submissions (RNC, Armbar) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 31-13-2 | Best Win – Na Liang (8-2)

Mariya Agapova is a nice prospect training out of Kazakhstan but living in Coconut Creek, Florida. She also trains with a great camp in American Top Team. Agapova was on this list last year and got really close to getting into the UFC. She fought on the Contender Series last Summer but lost to Tracy Cortez. Since then, Agapova has signed with Invicta FC and won her last two fights.

On the feet, Agaova throws at range well and while she could improve her footwork, she does have sharp hands. She thrives on the mat more as her ground-and-pound is her best weapon, and she can threaten with submissions everywhere. Agapova has also shown solid grappling and overall is someone worth watching out for in 2020.
