10 Flyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2020

Gian “Patolino” Souza

23 | 5’4″ | Paraiba, Brazil | 7-0 | 7 Finishes | 4 KO/TKOs, 3 Submissions (RNC, Arm-Triangle) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 12-8 | Best Win – Edmar Cruz (4-2)

Gian Souza is another prospect who has been flying under the radar but has been killing it on the regional scene. He’s an aggressive fighter who is a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Across the span of his seven fights Gian has been very successful with his wrestling. On the feet, the Brazilian is technical and possesses heavy hands. He needs a lot more experience but if he can get a few more good fights in, he could find himself on a Brazilian card later in the year.

Training with Bellator MMA’s Pitbull Brothers, Patricio and Patricky Freire, should raise his ceiling even more.
