Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10, Week 1 unfolded on August 11, 2026 and marked the return of the Tuesday night staple.
10 years on, the Contender Series is now the main point of entry to the UFC for up-and-coming fighters. In 2025, the show handed out a record-tying 46 contracts across 10 episodes, meaning only a small handful of winners were denied entry to the world’s preeminent mixed martial arts promotion.
It’s a conveyor belt for talent, and while there have been complaints that the show is simply awarding too many contracts, detracting from the specialness of earning a shot in the UFC with a big performance, the format has been a rousing success for the company.
Season 10 isn’t likely to see that change. The season opener sees heavyweights headlining, CFFC flyweight champ Bilal Hassan looking to fight his way into the UFC, and featherweight Ananias Mulumba getting a second chance after coming up short on the show last year.
