10 Light Heavyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2020

Modestas Bukauskas

25 | 6’3″ | Denham, Buckinghamshire, England | 10-2 | 9 Finishes | 7 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions (RNC) | Combined Opponents’ Record: 47-58 | Best Win – Riccardo Nosiglia (8-1)

Modestas Bukauskas had a breakout year in 2019, going 3-0 against tough competition. In that span of three fights, he beat Marthin Hamlet Nielsen, a fight many expected him to lose. Not only did he win, he looked darn good doing it, winning the vacant Cage Warriors Light Heavyweight Championship in the process. Outside of MMA, Bukauskas was also a former British kickboxing champion.

On the feet, he does have good kicks and a highlight right cross he throws. His takedown defense needs a lot of work but on top, he is active enough to be a threat. Good cardio helps him as well. From fight to fight he’s improving in all areas especially in takedown defense where he’s struggled in the past.
