Light heavyweights Alexander Poppeck and Pavol Langer headlined Oktagon 71 on Saturday, live in Munich, Germany.
Germany’s own Poppeck, who had come up short on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019, was 4-1 under the Oktagon MMA banner, and coming off a No Contest due to an illegal knee in a fight with Mateusz Strzelczyk. Prior to that, Poppeck had picked up a victory over UFC veteran Jeremy Kimball.
Pavol Langer, an 11-fight Oktagon veteran coming into Saturday’s main event, was looking to bounce back from a 2024 loss against Will Fleury.
