Headlined by Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev, March’s UFC 313 card is starting to grow, with the latest addition a lightweight banger featuring King Green and Mauricio Ruffy.

News of Green vs. Ruffy was first reported on Monday by MMA Mania’s Alex Behunin. The event takes place on March 8, 2025 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Green confirmed the booking on his Instagram Story shortly after news of the fight broke.

With over 15 years in MMA and a decade in the UFC, Green, now 38, is a veteran of the lightweight division. At 3-2 in his last five fights, he’s picked up wins over Tony Ferguson, Grant Dawson, and Jim Miller, but is coming off a loss to England’s Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett.

Brazil’s Ruffy (11-1) won his way into the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023 and has won both of his fights in the UFC proper to date. Following an explosive flying knee finish of Jamie Mullarkey in Mauricio Ruffy’s debut, he delivered a solid unanimous decision victory against James Llontop last time out.

Including this latest booking, all three of Ruffy’s bouts under the UFC banner to date have come on numbered events. His violent finish of the always durable Mullarkey earned Ruffy his first Performance of the Night bonus with the company.

March 8’s UFC 313 currently features the following reported bouts:

  • Alex Pereira (c) vs. Magomed Ankalaev – for the UFC light heavyweight championship
  • Justin Gaethje vs. Dan Hooker – five round co-main event
  • Bruno Gustavo da Silva vs. Joshua Van
