Contender Series winner Islam Dulatov has been forced out of his promotional debut with the UFC.

Dulatov (11-1), a former model for Versace, was to have faced Adam Fugitt as part of UFC Seattle (UFC Fight Night 252) on February 22, 2025.

However, on Monday, the welterweight posted on social media that he had sustained a “serious injury,” leaving him unable to remain on the card. Dulatov did not disclose the nature of the injury.

“Hey guys unfortunately I had to cancel my fight on February 22nd due to a serious injury,” wrote the fighter. Later, he thanked fans for their support, adding “Don’t worry, I’ll be back very soon and will be in the cage by April or May. My rehab has already started and we are on the road to recovery.”

With the loss of Islam Dulatov, Adam Fugitt now faces Billy Goff. Goff was to have faced Nikolay Veretennikov one week earlier, only for Veretennikov to withdraw.
