Magomedov just won the LFA welterweight title but will be in the TUF house competing at middleweight. His style isn’t going to wow anyone but he’s capable of a lot. I wish he’d strike more because it’s looked good in moments.
Magomedov throws a good jab and is an excellent counterstriker. His wrestling is good and he’s a grinder on top. Although he can move slowly Magomedov is a good positional grappler. He never rushes anything being patient. The concern with him is that althouh he is primarily a wrestler/grappler, I don’t see it at a high level. No legit grappler should be reversed while in mount multiple times. I feel he can improve if he finds his striking a little more. A good fighter that should be much better.
