King Bobby Green Doesn’t Think Ferguson Should Retire, Wants Jim Miller At UFC 300

Salt Lake City, UT – UFC lightweight King Bobby Green came into UFC 291 looking for a brawl against longtime UFC vet and fan favorite Tony Ferguson, and walked away with a win and a top performance ending in a finish on Saturday night.

“Everything went according to plan. Everything we drilled, everything we saw, he did everything we expected. I didn’t know if I was expecting him to be so tough. He took shot after shot after shot,” Green told reporters including Cageside Press at his post-fight scrum.

“He’s going to be here for a while. I was dropping some hammer fists on his face. I’m like God this guy has got a rock head.”

Not taking away from Green’s performance at UFC 291 where he negated most of not all of Ferguson’s attacks and then submitted him in the end, but Ferguson seemed like a long way from his prime in the fight.

The way the fight went many believe Ferguson should hang it up, but Green isn’t so sure.

“I can’t speak for another man. It depends on what’s in his heart, and what’s his goals. I’m going to keep going until I accomplish my goals. Then I could be done,” Green said.

“He took hella shots, and he was still fighting, he was still game. I think he’s still got it in him. He’s got a lot of fight in him.”

With the fight now done Green isn’t calling out what he wants next, but he did name one man who he’s supposed to have fought by now. Circumstances have nixed those bouts, but with UFC 300 on the horizon maybe Green can finally get his fight with Jim Miller.

“That is one of my goals. I don’t know what it is bro. I think God’s saving that guy, but every time we’ve been known to fight each other it’s something that happens. I blew my knee once, I made weight on two-weeks notice, I make the weight and after I’m going to see the doctor and I pass out. My lungs fails, my kidney fails. Then I get popped for DHEA for taking a supplement from Walmart that I watched on f*cking YouTube” he said.

“Now I f*cked myself for the third time. I’m like ‘Is it just not meant to be? Or is it that God’s testing me?’. It’s one of the two.”
