The upcoming ONE Fight Night 8 card just can’t seem to catch a break.

ONE Championship had originally booked a heavyweight title unification bout to headline the event, a fight that would have seen the return of champ Arjan Bhullar against Anatoly Malykhin. With that fight pulled recently, the Muay Thai showdown between Rodtang and Superlek was bumped up to the main event spot — but now that fight has been lost as well.

Promotion officials announced the news on Wednesday. With Rodtang out due to injury, Danial Williams has now stepped up to face Superlek.

The ONE flyweight kickboxing championship will be on the line in the bout, with Superlek having captured gold earlier this year. ONE Fight Night 8 will mark his first attempted defense of the title, with the Thai standout currently riding a six-fight win streak.

Williams was last seen competing in MMA, where he went 3-1 in 2022. In 2021, Williams went up against Rodtang at ONE on TNT 1 in a Muay Thai contest, losing a unanimous decision.

ONE Fight Night 8 goes down on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 8PM ET (Mar. 25 local time) and is now expected to move forward with the following match-ups:

Superlek Kiatmuu9 (c) vs. Danial Williams – for the ONE flyweight kickboxing championship
